My first floral canvas with oils in 1992. I had only been painting a little over two years. It is my rendition of a Lena Liu plate that I fell in love with. This graces a wall in our bedroom.
In 1996 my neighbor gave me a few gourds he had grown. I chose a Chris Stokes design for my first attempt at gourd painting. In appreciation this was given to my neighbor.
I am very proud of my 13th canvas which in 1996 was awarded First Place in Fine Arts at an area juried Fine Arts and Crafts competition. Painted with six colors and three mixes of DecoArt Americana, it is my rendering of a hiking trail in the Ocoee Mountains.
